In the action-packed trailer for her new film, which the producers unveiled on Wednesday, Priyanka Chopra more than holds her own. In this Prime Video release, the actor portrays a bright MI6 agent who is on a mission to uncover a global conspiracy.
When the U.S. President (played by John Cena) and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (played by Idris Elba) discover they are involved in a plot after their flight is attacked in midair, the trailer opens with a sequence of unexpected, tragic-comic events. They survive in the end, but they have to put aside their rivalry right away in order to stop a global conspiracy and preserve the world—something that can only be accomplished if they can cooperate.
In this scene, Priyanka plays MI6 agent Noel Bisset, who declares, "Many people want you dead." My task is to take you to the safest place on our continent. She calmly declares that there is no fallback on her strategy, so they had better start running and figure out a way to cooperate as quickly as possible after taking down masked gunmen on her own.
Ilya Naishuller is the director of Heads of State, which also features Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and Sarah Niles.
