In the trailer for the A24 film Eternity, Elizabeth Olsen must make a significant choice.
David Freyne's romantic comedy also stars Miles Teller and Callum Turner. Prior to its November theatrical release, the film will have its world premiere at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. The cast is completed by Oscar winner Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Olga Merediz, and John Early.
In the afterlife depicted in Eternity, souls are given a week to choose where they will spend eternity. Following her death, Joan (Olsen) is forced to choose between her first love, Luke (Turner), who passed away many years ago, and Larry (Teller), with whom she spent her entire life.
In the teaser, a bewildered Olsen tells Teller, "A lot has happened in a week." "You passed away. I passed away. I have to choose where to spend eternity after recently being reunited with both of my deceased husbands.
Freyne directed the movie based on a screenplay he and Pat Cunnane co-wrote; Cunnane's original screenplay was placed on the 2022 Black List. Producers Tim White and Trevor White are involved.
The Assessment and His Three Daughters are two of Olsen's most recent works. Teller recently led in the Apple TV+ movie The Gorge and has a role in next year’s Michael Jackson biopic Michael. Turner starred in last year’s Apple TV+ series Masters of the Air.
