Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Bollywood icons Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has carved her own path as a social entrepreneur, advocate for women's rights, and emerging public figure.
Graduating from Fordham University in New York, Navya co-founded Aara Health in 2020, a health-tech platform addressing women's health issues like menstruation and reproductive well-being. The initiative aims to break taboos and provide accessible, scientifically-backed healthcare resources for Indian women .
In 2019, she launched Project Naveli, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women through education, economic independence, and legal awareness. The project has made significant strides, including building period-positive homes and supporting over 20,000 women entrepreneurs
Despite her family's deep ties to the film industry, Navya has consciously chosen a different route, focusing on entrepreneurship and social impact. She has expressed that she never aspired to join films, highlighting her commitment to causes that empower women
In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, Navya hosts the podcast What The Hell Navya!, where she engages in conversations about women's rights and generational perspectives, often featuring her mother and grandmother .
Currently, Navya is pursuing a Blended Post Graduate Programme at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, balancing her academic pursuits with her entrepreneurial endeavors.
Through her initiatives and public engagements, Navya Naveli Nanda continues to inspire a new generation of women to lead with purpose and redefine success on their own terms.
