Indian actor and producer Aamir Khan has frequently spoken mental health concerns in public and offered his support to others who are struggling. Mr. Perfectionist discussed his daughter Ira Khan's experience with depression in a number of previous interviews, and how she is now assisting others in overcoming the stage. However, he recently acknowledged going to therapy for their personal relationship.
Aamir Khan acknowledged the benefits of joint therapy with his daughter Ira Khan in an interview with Dr. Vivek Murthy for Netflix India. The PK actor claimed that his daughter was the one who led him down that route and that he would heartily suggest therapy to anyone who feels the need for it after witnessing the beneficial impact it had on him.
The Laapataa Ladies producer said, "In fact, Ira and I also have started joint therapy," adding that they see a therapist for their personal relationship. Aamir said, "To work on how to make that better and issues which have been there for years."
It turns out that the Khans are not the only celebrities in the business who are looking for expert assistance in resolving personal problems. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Arjun Kapoor disclosed that he sought treatment during a difficult time.
"I started doing therapy and somewhere I realised that I have to start loving myself again," the Singham Again actor shared with us. I have to get back to taking care of myself. Going outside isn't always the solution, either. You must turn inward. There are moments when you are searching for outside approval while you are wandering about and living on a movie set.
"I needed to go into myself," Kapoor continued. Whether it's rejection, loss, or a lack of desire to deal with things, I truly wanted to know why I haven't dealt with so many things.
