For the first time since their romance began to circulate, Ana de Armas talked about working with Tom Cruise. The 37-year-old actress, who is presently occupied with the promotion of Ballerina, her latest movie set in the John Wick world, revealed that she is collaborating with the 62-year-old Top Gun star on other projects. "We are definitely working on a lot of things," Armas stated on Thursday, May 15, when he appeared on Good Morning America. Not one, but multiple projects with Tom, Doug Liman, and Christopher McQuarrie. And I'm thrilled."
Although Armas refrained from responding to the dating rumours explicitly, she did imply that their connection is entirely professional, something her agent has emphasised multiple times in recent weeks.
Liman co-directed American Made (2017) and Edge of Tomorrow (2014) with Cruise. Cruise and McQuarrie, a director and screenwriter, have worked together on several Mission: Impossible films. In addition, he wrote Edge of Tomorrow's script.
In February, Cruise and Armas were first seen together in London. The media was told at the time by her agents that the two were "discussing potential collaborations down the line."
Following that, the two celebrities have been seen together several times. In London, Cruise apparently also celebrated Armas' birthday. They were spotted with Liman on March 14th, arriving in London via helicopter.
The Daily Mail claims that on May 3, Cruise and Armas were also photographed departing David Beckham's 50th birthday celebration in London.
Cruise and the cast of Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning recently made headlines with their attendance at Cannes 2025. On Wednesday, the movie had its debut at the esteemed French film festival.
