Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Review: A Middling Horror-Comedy Starring Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan
Explore our review of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, featuring Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit. While the film offers plenty of gags, it ultimately falls short, making for a mixed viewing experience in the horror-comedy genre.

The Plot

Meera (Triptii Dimri) and her uncle (Rajesh Sharma) bring Rooh Baba (Kartik Aaryan), a fraud ghost exorcist, to Rakt Ghat haveli for a crucial assignment for which he is offered Rs 1 crore. Rooh Baba appears to have a connection to the haveli's violent past. In order to sell the haveli, Meera and her uncle seek to dispel the myth because they don't think the narrative is true. But when they arrive before Durga Ashtmi, things start to get comically eerie.

Things we loved about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3:

The few scenes and conversations that make you laugh aloud are what make Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 so good. With the help of their powerful speech, the supporting characters in the first half of the film effectively elevate the script's mediocrity. Arun Kushwah and Kartik Aaryan have a strong bond, and it's fun to watch them perform at their finest. In the movie, Jaana Samjho Na fits together like a jigsaw piece. The work on the visual effects is excellent. All things considered, the movie has a very rich sense.

What did not work out?

Because they were created with the original Rooh Baba Akshay Kumar in mind, the majority of jokes written for Kartik Aaryan don't land as well as they should. Instead of adding his own flair to the role, it seems as if the actor is forced to mimic it.
Triptii and Kartik's romantic relationship is unimportant to the plot. Although they appear stunning together, they don't have the on-screen chemistry that would entice viewers to see more of them. Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan's overly dramatic qualities and badly constructed characters prevent them from offering any thrills. Additionally, the climax doesn't land as it should.

Performance and Direction of the Film

As Rooh Baba, Kartik Aaryan does a respectable job. Despite his exceptional star value, the actor doesn't exactly have the greatest words and scenes to make a big impact. Both Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan overdo their roles, even though they are both normally very natural performers. The confrontations become less realistic and more gimmicky as a result. The movie doesn't give Triptii Dimri much to work with. She is a star on screen, though.

Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Sanjay Mishra, and other reputable supporting performers are mostly responsible for the comedy in the movie. As a director, Anees Bazmee has both successes and failures.

Because of the plot's convenience and the screenplay's flaws, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is a mediocre film, despite having a few moments where viewers can laugh out loud. Families are welcome to attend, but it's important to remember that it won't be a blockbuster.
