Diljit Dosanjh’s MET Gala 2025 Debut: Beyond the Red Carpet Spotlight
Diljit Dosanjh stuns at his MET Gala 2025 debut with flair and charisma—here’s how the global star plans to make his mark beyond fashion’s biggest night.

Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh will leave his imprint at the prestigious Met Gala 2025 by showing up on the red carpet and going to the private after-party. Diljit is expected to attend as a special guest of renowned designer Prabal Gurung on May 5. He will now make history by attending Anna Wintour's exclusive event among global celebrities like Tessa Thompson and Nicole Scherzinger.

At the 2025 Met Gala, Diljit Dosanjh will make history as the lone Indian actor to attend the esteemed event with international A-list celebrities. In addition to walking the red carpet, Diljit Dosanjh will be the first Indian and only male celebrity from the nation to attend the private event, according to the Times of India.

Every year, Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, hosts this exclusive event, which is only open to a handful. Wintour herself personally sent an invitation to Diljit to join the esteemed dinner table this year.

Diljit Dosanjh's custom-made traditional Indian royal attire, designed by designer Prabal Gurung, adds to the moment's significance. His Punjabi ancestry and India's rich cultural traditions are anticipated to be magnificently honoured by the clothing.

With actor Kiara Advani and superstar Shah Rukh Khan expected to make their first debuts, other Indian superstars are expected to leave a lasting impression on the famous Met Gala staircase this year.

However, there is yet no official confirmation on whether either will be attending the main Gala event; they are simply confirmed for the red carpet. Kiara will don a Gaurav Gupta couture piece, while Shah Rukh will don an outfit by Sabyasachi.

The Met Gala, which is often considered to be the biggest night in fashion, is much more than just a demonstration of glitzy fashion; it is a distinguished, invitation-only event that supports the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
