Actors Pankaj Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari have teamed up for the first time in Parivarik ManuRanjan, a heartwarming family entertainer directed by Varun V. Sharma. The film commenced shooting on June 5 in Lucknow, with vibrant behind-the-scenes glimpses from the set hinting at a festive, wedding-like vibe.
Tripathi, celebrated for his nuanced performances and impeccable comic timing, shared his excitement on social media, posting: “Parivaar, hungama aur parivarik mahual ewam swaad (Family, chaos, and a familial atmosphere). Shoot begins for Parivarik ManuRanjan with the talented @aditiraohydari & directed by @varun.v.sharma.”
The shared photos feature Tripathi in a classic cream kurta and Nehru jacket, and Hydari in a cheerful yellow salwar suit, both standing against a backdrop of marigold garlands and traditional décor — exuding the energy of a lively desi celebration.
Parivarik ManuRanjan follows the journey of an unlikely duo and promises a delightful mix of humour, romance, music, and familial drama. It marks the first project under a three-film partnership between Bhanushali Studios Limited and AAZ Films. The film is produced by Vinod Bhanushali and Himanshu Mehra, with creative support from Ali Abbas Zafar. The screenplay is co-written by Brijendra Kala and Varun V. Sharma.

Pankaj Tripathi shared why the script resonated with him: “There’s a charming simplicity and an irresistible humour in the story that made it an immediate yes for me. Director Varun V. Aditi Rao Hydari recently gained critical acclaim for her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. She will next be seen in an upcoming romantic drama opposite Avinash Tiwary, directed by Imtiaz Ali.
Pankaj Tripathi, meanwhile, continues to captivate audiences with standout performances. He was recently seen in Criminal Justice Season 4 on JioCinema and is gearing up for the release of Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino, hitting theatres on July 4.
