The Red Sun, a royal African diamond that will be displayed at a very safe art gallery in India, is the object of Rajan Aulakh's (Jaideep Ahlawat) desire. Jewel Thief Rehan Roy (Saif Ali Khan) is the only guy who can do the mission for him. Since Rajan is aware that persuading Rehan won't be simple, he blackmails Rehan into working for him by tricking his father (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) into committing a crime.
Rehan, who was kicked out of his house by his father three years ago, reluctantly accepts the assignment.
The audience always gets a special thrill from seeing Saif Ali Khan play roles that allow him to display his suave and cunning side while doing some awesome action sequences. There are several reasons why people who are still affected by Race's Ranvir Singh will like Saif in Jewel Thief. The entertainment value is increased by his confrontation with Jaideep Ahlawat.
Because there are a good number of twists and turns, the concept of carrying out the robbery in the air adds a new level of entertainment value. The second half's robbery drama is executed well for the movie.
The first fifty to sixty minutes of the movie are exhausting, so it takes a while to get going. Saif's performance is subpar; the drama is clichéd, and most of the speech sounds out of date.
The one-sided aspect of the cat-and-mouse game prevents the drama from really engaging, even though it improves in the second half. Vikram Patel, played by Kunal Kapoor, is portrayed as a tough cop who is meant to reprimand Rehan, yet Rehan is usually well ahead of him, which undermines the film's goals.
Saif Ali Khan and Nikita Dutta's romance song is only included for glitz, and even that is only half the story. You sense the absence of depth and flare. And music doesn't save the day either. Jaadu, the sole hit song, is played last.
Saif Ali Khan amuses the audience with his antics, coolness, and action, yet because of the writing errors, his performance feels erratic. Although not at his peak, Jaideep Ahlawat is outstanding. Nikkita Dutta isn't given enough opportunities to excel. She does have her moments, but they are few and far between.
