Since Kartik Aaryan and Anurag Basu began filming their upcoming movie, everyone's eyes have been on it. Originally scheduled for a Diwali release, the film also features Sreeleela as the leading lady. The most recent rumours, however, state that because of Saiyaara's enormous box office success, the movie won't be released until 2026. Now, the filmmaker has spoken out about it.
Anurag Basu refuted the rumours that the movie was delayed. But by providing multiple justifications, he subtly alluded to it. Earlier, it was claimed that certain themes and elements in the Kartik Aaryan starrer were similar to those of. Rising musicians and their romantic relationships were at the heart of both tales.
Reports indicated that Basu and his team wanted to steer clear of any direct comparison with the previously released film, as the public is raving about the recently released Mohit Suri film. As a result, they decided to postpone the release date because some parts needed to be revised. However, the director of Jagga Jasoos disclosed the true cause of the hold-up.
Anurag Basu asserted that Kartik Aaryan was preoccupied with the release of Metro In Dinon and Karan Johar's Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. He went on to say, "We'll soon move on to our next schedule and aim to wrap the film soon."
Anurag also disclosed that the story did not come as a surprise to him because he had long been aware of Mohit Suri's script. "We anticipated comparisons since performers are major characters in both films. However, the two films are entirely different from one another, he said.
