The main character of the film is Muthayya, a modest old man who lives in a tiny village. He works odd jobs to earn a living and owns a small plot of land. Being a movie buff, he spends most of his time at the neighbourhood theatre. He sees his youthful friend Malli, who owns a tiny mechanic shop, or relaxes on his land when he isn't working or watching films.
Their discussions frequently centre around Muthayya's one major dream. Despite all of life's challenges, Muthayya's spirit endures. Even though his age and circumstances seem to be against him, he continues to pursue his passion. The movie tracks him as he encounters numerous obstacles that try his patience and resolve.
