Ramayana Teaser: Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi & Yash Unite in Epic Saga—Release Details Inside
The 2-minute 36-second teaser of the much-awaited epic Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, is set for release—here’s everything you need to know.

Nitesh Tiwari's eagerly anticipated masterpiece, Ramayana, has made significant progress. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has formally certified the Namit Malhotra-produced movie's title announcement video. The Mumbai Regional Office has assigned the title video, TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT-RAMAYANA 3D, a "U" certificate based on the certification details.

The video was approved on May 5, 2025, and its certified runtime is 2 minutes and 36 seconds. Namit Malhotra, the founder and global CEO of Prime Focus Studios, is the applicant and producer on the list.

The certification for the title announcement means that the producers are getting ready to launch their marketing campaign for the epic project, which has already generated a lot of interest from viewers. This breakthrough is a major step towards making Ramayana one of the largest cinematic spectacles ever undertaken in Indian cinema, even if the video has not yet been made public.

Based on the ancient Indian epic, Ramayana will be published in two parts and is being envisioned as a huge, visually stunning recreation. Part 1 of the movie is anticipated to be released in theatres in Diwali 2026, and Part 2 in Diwali 2027. The road to bring Ramayana to the big screen started more than ten years ago, according to an emotional statement made by Namit Malhotra during the official announcement in November 2024. He stated, "More than ten years ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen," in an emotional Instagram post. And I'm overjoyed to see it developing brilliantly today.

He underlined the team's commitment to showcasing the cultural asset in its most "authentic, sacred, and visually stunning" form. On behalf of the whole Ramayana family, he said, "Join us as we fulfil our dream of bringing our greatest epic to life with pride and reverence."

Sai Pallavi will play Sita, KGF star Yash will play the strong and nuanced part of Ravana, and Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram, according to extensive rumours and set leaks, even though the production company has not formally confirmed the cast.

Yash acknowledged his participation in a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, describing Ravana as one of the "most fascinating" parts he could play. In addition to stating that he is co-producing the movie and plans to screen it internationally, he stated, "There is vast scope to present it in a very different way."

The revelation of the Ramayana title's CBFC certification suggests that the movie's first trailer may be published shortly, potentially providing viewers with an early look at what's to come.
