As he prepares for the release of his film Kanguva, Suriya has revealed that RJ Balaji will be directing his upcoming picture. According to a report by Valai Pechu, Suriya 45—the working title—is most likely going to be a fantasy film with a supernatural theme.
The next film is reportedly based on the script for Maasaani Amman, which was originally thought to star Trisha Krishnan in the lead role. Additionally, the rumour implied that the movie would be similar to RJ Balaji's Mookuthi Amman, starring Nayanthara.

But because it's a Suriya movie, the script has been altered to have a male lead and other elements to the narrative. Furthermore, the creators have not yet substantiated these claims—they are merely assertions from a recent publication.
Recently, it was announced that RJ Balaji and Suriya will be collaborating on a film, and a unique poster was also revealed. The poster featured a single Vel (spear) in the middle of a row of long sickles covered in tilaks, which perhaps alludes to a divine storyline in the film.
Similar to the genre, RJ Balaji had previously made the movie Mookuthi Amman with Nayanthara back in the day. The 2020 film told the tale of a reporter who meets Mookuthi Amman, his ancestral goddess, who uses him to expose godmen and sets out to help him in life.
Going forward, Siva's film Kanguva, in which Suriya plays the lead, will be released. Due to the fact that the upcoming fantasy action film takes place in two distinct timeframes, the actor plays two roles. In addition to Suriya, the film stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, who are making their Tamil cinema debuts, in major parts.
