Americana (2025) Official Trailer – Sydney Sweeney, Paul Walter Hauser, Halsey
After a few years, Americana has finally made an appearance.
The picture, which stars Sydney Sweeney and Paul Walter Hauser, is set to be released in theatres on August 22nd. Tony Tost's contemporary Western drama Americana made its debut at SXSW in 2023. In his feature directorial debut, Tost wrote the story, which centres on a shy waitress and military veteran who embark on a perilous road trip to recover a rare Native American artefact that ends up in the wrong hands.
Zahn McClarnon, Eric Dane, Simon Rex, and pop sensation Halsey are also featured in the movie. Both Sweeney and Dane star in the HBO series Euphoria.
In addition to working on projects like Damnation, Longmire, and The Terror, Tost is the showrunner of the popular Peacock series Poker Face. Based on what I've heard about the movie, I wasn't prepared for this trailer to give me a strong Quentin Tarantino vibe. Along with the cast of Sweeney, Hauser, and Halsey—who did a respectable job in MaXXXine recently—it has caught my attention. Americana will be released by Lionsgate on August 22.
