The first trailer for the Prime Video movie Another Simple Favour, a follow-up to the 2018 film A Simple Favour, features Anna Kendrick's Stephanie Smothers and Blake Lively's Emily Nelson reuniting on the picturesque island of Capri for the latter's wedding, which swiftly devolves into a nightmare after a murder.
The two-minute-29-second teaser, which was released on Wednesday, gives a glimpse into the characters' life after a nine-year break and implies that the plot of the 2018 movie continues. Stephanie questioned whether Emily, who had previously received a 20-year prison sentence for the murders of her father and sister, had a breakdown despite their turbulent history. The story begins when Stephanie receives an unexpected invitation from Emily to her wedding.
The new feature, which is a follow-up to filmmaker Paul Feig's 2018 comedy A Simple Favour, will be made available internationally on Prime Video on May 1. In addition to Lively, Bashir Salahuddin, Andrew Rannells, and Anna Kendrick will all return to their previous roles. In Another Simple Favour, Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Alex Newell, Henry Golding, and Allison Janney will all have significant roles.
