Nobody 2 | Official Trailer
The first trailer for the action sequel Nobody 2 suggests that Bob Odenkirk will probably need a holiday after his vacation.
On August 15, Universal Pictures' film, directed by Timo Tjahjanto, opens in theatres. Joining returning cast members Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, RZA, Michael Ironside, Colin Salmon, Billy MacLellan, Gauge Munroe, Paisley Cadorath, and Christopher Lloyd are newcomers Sharon Stone, Colin Hanks, and John Ortiz.
Odenkirk returns in Nobody 2 as Hutch Mansell, a dedicated assassin who doubles as a husband and parent. He becomes the target of a ruthless criminal boss (Stone) and a dishonest sheriff (Hanks) after consenting to take his wife Becca (Nielsen) and their children on a summer vacation to a theme park.
In the trailer, Nielsen informs Odenkirk, "I've accepted that you don't have an ordinary job." "But summer break is only a few days away, and we haven't seen you in months."
Stone later clarifies that she is determined to find Odenkirk. "Look for this nobody," she insists. "Earth scorched."
As the teaser concludes, Odenkirk is seen beating up an opponent and expressing his displeasure at having to focus on his day job: "I'm on fucking vacation, like I said."
Lindsey Buckingham's 1983 song "Holiday Road," which has been in Warner Bros.' National Lampoon's Vacation and its follow-ups, is used heavily in the teaser.
Nobody 2 was directed by Tjahjanto from a scenario written by Aaron Rabin and Derek Kolstad, who wrote the original movie. The sequel is produced by Braden Aftergood, Marc Provissiero, David Leitch, Kelly McCormick, and Odenkirk.
The pandemic caused a delay in the release of Ilya Naishuller's original Nobody movie, which finally debuted in theatres in March 2021. During its first weekend, the movie was the biggest hit at the US box office.
