NONNAS | Official Trailer | Netflix

On Wednesday, Netflix released the trailer for Vince Vaughn's upcoming American comedy Nonnas. The movie, which was written by Liz Maccie and directed by Stephen Chbosky, will debut on Netflix on May 9.

"A man risks everything to honour his mother by opening an Italian restaurant with a group of local grandmothers," is the official logline for the movie. In the teaser, Vaughn's character selects women with opposing views and inflated egos to work as chefs at his hotel. What follows is a chaotic comedy of errors that ultimately seems to transform into understanding and empathy.

Nonnas also stars Susan Sarandon, Linda Cardellini, Joe Manganiello, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Brenda Vaccaro, and Drea de Matteo. Joe Scaravella, the proprietor of the Staten Island eatery Enoteca Maria, where grandmothers (nonnas) are invited to work as chefs, is the inspiration for the movie.
