The director is currently preparing for Love & War, his upcoming major undertaking. According to a recent rumour, the rains in Mumbai have caused a delay in the release of Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal's upcoming film, Love & War.
Bollywood Hungama reports that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War filming has been pushed back two months. The publication was informed by an insider regarding the development that the filming of the Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt film has been affected by the rains in Mumbai.

This year, Love & War will open on Broadway either at the end of November or the beginning of December. According to the source, there has been a delay in set construction for a while. The source disclosed the cause, stating that earlier this month's storms destroyed the set when the crew started working on it.
The insider also revealed that Bhansali has plenty of time to complete the Love & War script and music. The insider went on to say that the director will do further workshops with Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt, who play the main roles.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is supporting his eagerly awaited movie, Love & War, according to a source close to the development who spoke with Pinkvilla earlier in September of this year.
"SLB has decided to self-finance Love And War, opting for the model followed by studios like YRF and Red Chillies. Even before the film going on floors, he has signed a massive post-theatrical deal with Netflix, and a near-record music deal with Saregama," the source shared some time ago.
For those who are unaware, Love & War marks Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's second filmography collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In 2022, Alia collaborated with Bhansali for Gangubai Kathiawadi. With the 2007 film Saawariya directed by Bhansali, Ranbir made his Bollywood debut.
Nonetheless, this is the first time Vicky Kaushal and the legendary director have collaborated. The movie Love & War will be out on March 20, 2026.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is also gearing up for future projects such as Takht and Inshallah. Whereas her husband, Ranbir will be seen in Andaz Apna Apna 2 and Dhoom 4. Lastly, the audience will get to see Vicky Kaushal in the future in projects such as Takht and Chhaava.
