The government changed its custom of commencing presentations no earlier than 11 am and allowed 9 AM screenings for the Suriya film, according to an Indian Express article. Additionally, the regulators let the film's fifth or final showing to end by two in the morning. It was also recommended that theatres showing Kanguva take the appropriate precautions to keep viewers safe and secure.
Other states, including Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala, will screen the movie even earlier, with some showings beginning at roughly four in the morning.
According to the report, the state has prohibited early morning screenings of Tamil films for the previous 18 to 20 months. The Tamil Nadu government stopped the practice after a mishap during the Pongal 2023 holiday releases, which led to the prohibition.
