Tom Clancy's Ryanverse will be expanded with the release of a new Jack Ryan film. According to Variety, the movie was formally announced by Amazon MGM Studios on October 30, 2024.
John Krasinski, who portrayed the title character in the popular Jack Ryan series on Amazon Prime, is returning for the film, which is presently in development. Fans who have seen Krasinski's portrayal of the legendary CIA analyst-turned-operative throughout four successful seasons will find this to be a thrilling continuation.
Andrew Bernstein, who has directed television series such as Foundation, Ozark, and The Outsider, will helm the film. As Season 2's executive producer and director, Bernstein has further expertise in the Jack Ryan universe.
The storyline for the movie is being written by Aaron Robin, who previously co-executive produced Jack Ryan Season 4. The project is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Pictures, and Skydance. Executive producers John Kelly, Carlton Cuse, David Ellison, and Dana Goldberg are all seasoned professionals in the field.
Is John Krasinski returning for the new Jack Ryan movie?
The news that more well-known actors are joining John Krasinski in the Jack Ryan film will please fans. Wendell Pierce, who portrayed James Greer, will return as well. Pierce has played a significant role in the Jack Ryan series, and his appearance in the movie gives the franchise even more coherence.

Wendell Pierce, who starred alongside Krasinski in the series, will also star. Additionally, series star Michael Kelly is in negotiations to star.”
The film will be produced by Krasinski, who has established himself not just as an actor but also as a director and producer. Krasinski will collaborate with Allyson Seeger, his producing partner, through their business, Sunday Night.
