The much-anticipated third installment in the groundbreaking TRON series, TRON: Ares, has a new trailer that Disney has officially released. A significant worldwide rollout is planned for the next installment in the renowned sci-fi saga. The film is scheduled to hit Indian theaters on October 10, 2025, and will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
TRON: Ares, directed by Joachim Rønning, chronicles the journey of Ares, a highly developed program sent on a risky mission from the digital world into the real world. The film promises a compelling fusion of avant-garde visuals and thought-provoking themes as it examines humanity's first direct encounter with artificial intelligence.
In keeping with the film's gloomy, engrossing tone, the trailer also features the Grammy Award-winning band Nine Inch Nails' original song, "As Alive As You Need Me To Be." Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) is in charge of the visual effects, hinting at a polished and stylised cinematic experience.
The lead role is played by Jared Leto, who is joined by Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, and Cameron Monaghan. Veteran actors Jeff Bridges and Gillian Anderson also make appearances.
Russell Allen is an executive producer on the film, which is produced by Steven Lisberger (creator of the original TRON), Emma Ludbrook, Jared Leto, Justin Springer, Jeffrey Silver, and Sean Bailey.
