HIM | Official Teaser Trailer
In the Him teaser, Marlon Wayans plays the leader of a Satanic football cult in a horror film directed by Jordan Peele. Known as one half of Key & Peele, the sketch comedian made his directorial debut in 2017 with the hugely successful film Get Out, which earned him the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and immediately made him a well-known auteur. He went on to make equally original horror films in 2019 with Us and 2022 with Nope. Through his Monkeypaw Productions business, Peele also often produces horror films, such as Candyman from 2021 and the upcoming horror film Him.
Universal Pictures has now released the first official teaser trailer for Him. Tyriq Withers, a former college football wide receiver, plays Cameron Cade in the trailer. Cameron Cade is a young quarterback with promise who is brutally attacked by a deranged fan just before the pro football scouting combine. The attack causes a serious brain injury that could end his career before it even starts.
His idol, Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), a legendary quarterback with eight titles under his belt and a huge cultural following, throws Cam a lifeline by inviting him to practice at this exclusive property. However, Isaiah's charm starts to change into something far more dark and unnerving as the training gets more intense, plunging Cam into a perilous and bizarre cycle that could cost him everything.
