In the new Ironheart Marvel series, Dominique Thorne will reprise her role as Riri Williams. The actress previously appeared in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever for a limited time. In the film, Williams was the target of Shuri and Okoye's pursuit when she created a device that could identify vibranium in a variety of materials.
As the MCU relocates to Chicago, where Riri will be producing iron suits, the actress will return to her role in the upcoming season. As for the plot, the official synopsis of the show reads, “Genius teenage inventor Riri Williams creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man.”
Fans shouldn't anticipate that Riri's story began with the events of Wakanda Forever because the actress previously told The Wrap that the film left the audience "in the midst of her experience."
Thorne said, "And it just so happens that that experience is taking her totally out of her world, in which she was quite comfortable, and into several worlds that are not her own," in her interview with the media portal.
However, she added, "she does have to deal with the fact that her own ambition has created the circumstances that these folks, including herself, find themselves in."
