On Friday, the upcoming horror drama "Khauf" trailer was released on Prime Video.
With a stellar ensemble cast that includes Shilpa Shukla, Rajat Kapoor, Abhishek Chauhan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Monika Panwar, the series is full of eerie moments.
It centres on Madhu, a young woman seeking a new beginning who moves to a seemingly typical hostel room in a large city. However, as the caravan progresses, it becomes evident that there is a malevolent presence within the hostel's walls.
A press note claims that what at first seems to be a haven quickly transforms into a dreadful atmosphere as the women on her floor advise her to leave, but none of them have the guts to leave the hostel's premises, trapped by terror.
A shaman shows up, promising to drive out the darkness as Madhu's old nightmares begin to resurface. According to the press note, the trailer suggests a never-ending psychological and supernatural conflict in which finding the truth before it consumes everyone is essential to survival.
Playing Madhu, the show's protagonist, has been an intriguing and demanding experience, giving Monika a variety of emotions and challenges to explore, she said.
It was both difficult and rewarding to portray the character's gradual unravelling as she deals with the unfathomable horrors around her. According to the press release, Monika stated, "Matchbox Shots has been crucial in forming Khauf's eerie universe, establishing an area where performances can genuinely make an impression."
On April 18, Khauf will make its OTT debut.
