Predator: Badlands | Teaser Trailer
Elle Fanning is not happy with the direction that the Predator: Badlands teaser video is taking.
On November 7, 20th Century Studios will release the most recent entry in the venerable sci-fi movie series. Fanning co-stars with Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, who portrays a child member of the alien Predator species, in the film directed by Dan Trachtenberg.
The plot of Predator: Badlands revolves around Thia (Fanning) joining forces with an outcast Predator to fight a shared enemy.
In the teaser trailer, Fanning cautions, "You're hunting something that can't be killed."
Trachtenberg co-wrote the script with Patrick Aison and directed it. Producers are Brent O'Connor and John Davis.
Earlier this month, Fanning debuted the first trailer for the movie on stage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The actress revealed at the time that "something unprecedented happens in this movie, and my character is not the one being chased." "You get to see my character in a whole new light because he teams up with the Predator."
After bringing the Predator franchise back to life with the prequel movie Prey, Trachtenberg has emerged as its main protagonist. The Hollywood Reporter critic Frank Scheck praised the film when it debuted on Hulu in 2022, describing it as "one of the more formidable installments in the series."
Arnold Schwarzenegger played an Army special forces operator in the 1987 original Predator, which introduced the genre. Schwarzenegger faced an alien hunter species that travelled the galaxy in search of stunning food. The Alien movie series has also influenced the Predator franchise.
