Naturally, Wednesday was the best day for Netflix to reveal Wednesday Addams' big comeback. Beginning in August, the popular series' newest season will be accessible on the platform; however, fans should be aware that this season will be divided into two parts. The first batch of episodes lands on August 6, while the second part follows on September 3.
The recently released trailer first reveals our favourite macabre teen's future. In the brief video, Wednesday returns to Nevermore Academy, appearing as sardonic and eerily endearing as ever. And did I catch a glimpse of a smile? Most likely not, as her pleasant disposition isn't exactly well-known.
Our protagonist is thrust back into the enigmatic realm of Nevermore Academy in the second season. The official summary states that she will have to deal with new adversaries, familial conflicts, and paranormal secrets.
The teaser's apparent raising of the stakes is what makes it stand out. Some of the enigmatic visuals, like the eerie abandoned structure and the brief bursts of what appear to be ancient symbols, really pique my interest.
Wednesday doesn't seem very excited about going back to school, based on her voiceover in the teaser, but when has anything ever been easy for an Addams? This time, the academy grounds appear even more foreboding, with fog sweeping across the campus and what looks to be a ritual occurring in the woods.
