Night at the Museum Trilogy I stumbled upon this trilogy a few nights ago while browsing Netflix and I couldn't resist clicking play. I was instantly transported back to my childhood and felt a wave of nostalgia. The movies feature stars who were popular at the time, like Robin Williams - who I deeply miss - and Ben Stiller , along with rising actors like Rami Malek who became better known after appearing in Twilight and Mr. Robot . All three movies are quite good, with the second one being the weakest of the trilogy. The special effects aged reasonably well considering the release year, and I

I’ve watched # Bugonia . It’s an interesting concept about # ConspiracyTheories , I just didn’t enjoyed the execution. My issue with it is that I had to make a couple of stops while watching it (I was falling asleep). That # dry sense of # humor is something that I’ve loved, but the main characters were extremely boring. I was expecting # NutJobs like my neighbor who is into # conspiracy stuff. # HBOMAX # HBO # streaming # movies # movie # cinema # aliens # comedy # SciFi # ConspiracyTheory # EmmaStone # humour

Starship Troopers turns 29 years old today. It premiered back in 1997. Semi-loosely based off the novel penned by Robert A. Heinlein, it was directed by one of my all time favourites: Paul Verhoeven. Although it has a few sequels, and a remake in the works via Neill Blomkamp, the original is still my favourite. # OTD # Movies # Film # Cinema # StarshipTroopers # PaulVerhoeven # NeillBlomkamp # RobertAHeinlein # CasperVanDien # MichaelIronside # DinaMeyer # Squibs

Taika Waititi's work has just never really done it for me. What We Do in the Shadows was a really good film, but everything else has been so cloying and twee to the point I never understood why until his second Thor movie it all got such good reviews. However, I can't help but take a little pleasure in the fact he's now so desperate for good reviews and box office results he's willing to write off the entire industry of film criticism as "out of touch" as if badly reviewed movies don't do well at the box office all the time unlike his last two films. He wants to blame the critics, but it is th

THIS SUNDAY at 9pm Eastern (that's 2am Monday UTC) it's # MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party! Come watch a goofy monster movie with a bunch of nerds! This week we're watching the Corman classic WIZARDS OF THE LOST KINGDOM (1985), in which a young man must realize his power as a wizard to reclaim his birthright! The film's script writer Ed Naha had this to say about it: "I don't think this movie was so much shot as it was beaten to death." Sounds fun! The flick's available free with ads over on Tubi: https:// tubitv.com/movies/466918/wizar ds-of-the-lost-kingdom But alas, not on Ar
