Aadarsha Kutumbam’s release has been pushed back — again. The film, long touted as the first collaboration between Venkatesh and director Trivikram Srinivas, was set to hit screens on October 9. Now, the date is off the table. No new window has been announced, but sources say the final call hinges on one thing: the background score. And it’s not just any score, it’s a second-half overhaul in progress. Thaman’s original work isn’t cutting it for Trivikram, who’s reportedly dissatisfied with the emotional arc of the music in the film’s pivotal sequences. That’s why GV Prakash Kumar, already active in Telugu cinema after his recent work on Nayyi Navelli, has been brought in to re-score the latter half. He’s working under Trivikram’s direct supervision. Venkatesh, currently in London, is expected to return soon. His presence may be key in the final decision. The film remains a family entertainer, with Srinidhi Shetty opposite Venkatesh. Haarika and Hassine Creations are producing. This isn’t just a delay. It’s a recalibration. And if Trivikram’s standards are anything to go by, the wait might be worth it.
