Pictures from the celebration first surfaced on Alam Khan's social media. Khan, who shared screen space with Padda in Saiyaara, posted the photos and then pulled them down. Too late. Fans had already screenshotted everything, and the images have been doing the rounds since.
The set-up was unmistakably a fairytale theme. Think pink and green balloons, a castle-shaped cake sitting next to a pink two-tier one, the kind of decor that looks built for Instagram even when it isn't meant to end up there. Padda wore a short yellow bodycon dress for the occasion, understated next to all that pink.
Who showed up matters more than the decor, though. Ahaan Panday was there, along with his mother Deanne Panday. So was Alia Bhatt, and that's the detail that's got people talking.
According to details circulating with the photos, Ahaan knew Padda admires Bhatt and arranged the invite himself, as a kind of birthday gift. If true, it's a fairly specific gesture, not the sort of thing you organise for a co-star you're not close to. The timing lines up too. Ahaan had posted a birthday message for Padda on Instagram just before the party, and reports swirling alongside the pictures say he also put together a playlist for her.
None of this is confirmed by either actor directly. Padda and Panday have been linked romantically since Saiyaara released and became one of the year's bigger sleeper successes, but neither has said anything on record about dating. What's out there right now is photographs, a deleted post, and details attributed loosely to "circulating" reports rather than to Padda, Panday or their teams.
That hasn't stopped the speculation. A co-star's birthday is one thing. A co-star's mother showing up, and Alia Bhatt walking in as a surprise arranged specifically because the birthday girl is a fan of hers, reads like more than a professional courtesy to anyone watching closely. Bollywood parties leak this way constantly, somebody's phone always wins against the group's wish for privacy.
What happens next is the usual waiting game. Padda and Panday haven't addressed the dating chatter before and there's no sign they're about to start now. The photos will keep circulating regardless, Khan's deletion notwithstanding, and the next real update will probably come the way most of this one did, through a slip rather than a statement.
