Ahaana Krishna and Nimish Ravi are married. The actor-YouTuber and the cinematographer put an end to weeks of rumours by posting wedding pictures on Monday, confirming they exchanged vows on September 13 in a traditional ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram.

The two have known each other for ten years. Ahaana's own words for it: he went from best friend to boyfriend to "comfort pillow, cupcake and now husband." She wrote that with him, her heart beats "slow, steady and right," and thanked everyone who'd worked behind the scenes for close to six months to pull the celebrations together.

Nimish, who shot Lokah, shared the news alongside her. Neither had said much publicly before this, which is notable given how the speculation built. Ahaana's approach was a sharp contrast to her younger sister Diya Krishna, whose relationship and wedding played out far more openly online.

The clues were already there

Anyone paying attention to Thiruvananthapuram's social calendar last week had reason to suspect something was up. Kannada star Rishab Shetty and his wife Pragathi were spotted in the city, according to the Times of India, timing that raised eyebrows given his no direct connection to the Malayalam industry's usual wedding circuit. Then Kerala's Cultural Affairs Minister P C Vishnunath posted a picture with the couple from the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, which is about as strong a hint as a minister can drop without actually confirming anything.

By the time the couple's own posts landed, the internet had mostly already worked it out. What was missing was the official word, and now they have it, in Ahaana's own voice rather than through a leaked photo or a guest's Instagram story.

Congratulatory notes have been coming in from across the Malayalam film industry since the announcement went up, the kind of flood you'd expect when someone who's spent a decade building relationships on set and on YouTube finally makes her own news instead of covering someone else's.

There's no word yet on whether the couple plans a reception beyond the ceremony itself, or whether either of them has anything lined up professionally that they'll now be doing as a married unit. Nimish's camera work has kept him busy through some of Malayalam cinema's bigger recent releases, and Ahaana's own content and acting work haven't slowed either. For now, though, the story is simply this: ten years a friendship, and as of September 13, a marriage.
