Aishwarya Lekshmi has officially shut down the Raaka casting rumours — and did it with a side of self-awareness. In a recent interview, she denied being part of Allu Arjun and Atlee’s highly anticipated film, calling out the speculation with a dry, “No, I am not part of the film. Somebody please cast me in the film.” The line landed like a mic drop: part denial, part wish list, all meme bait. She didn’t just reject the rumour, she weaponised it. And the internet? It’s already running with it.

The confusion began when whispers surfaced that Aishwarya was being eyed for a negative role in Raaka, a project already stacked with stars and mythic stakes. But now, with her statement, the speculation is dead. Or at least, officially buried. Still, the question lingers: why her? Why was she linked to a film that’s reportedly weaving two timelines, one modern, led by Mrunal Thakur, the other a Vedic-era epic starring Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna?

Deepika’s involvement is especially notable. This will be her first time working with Allu Arjun, and only her second with Atlee after Jawan (2023). Shah Rukh Khan is also expected to appear in an extended cameo, possibly filmed during an international shoot. The historical segment, set in a Puranic world, features Deepika as a pregnant woman fighting for survival, Rashmika as a guide and protector, and Janhvi as a tribal queen. The film’s teaser dropped a cryptic line: “Beyond what seemed possible. We Dared to Imagine. We Dared to Archive. Raaka: A global triumph (sic).” That’s not a tagline, that’s a challenge.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya isn’t idle. She’s next seen opposite Arjun Das in #Love, a film that’s quietly building momentum. Her exit from Raaka doesn’t mean she’s out of the game. Just that the right role hasn’t come yet. Or maybe she’s waiting for someone to actually cast her.

So the real story isn’t about who’s in Raaka. It’s about who’s not, and why the internet can’t stop imagining them there.

And if you’re wondering: yes, the ‘somebody please cast me’ line is trending. On Twitter. On Instagram. On every reel where someone says they’re ready for their big break.

The next move? Wait for the official cast reveal. Or keep hoping. One thing’s certain: Aishwarya Lekshmi’s denial wasn’t the end. It was the beginning of the joke.
