Alex Warren is stepping into the slime for the first time — not as a nominee, but as host. The Grammy-nominated singer, whose 7x Platinum single ‘Ordinary’ once held the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for ten weeks and ruled US Pop Radio for a record-breaking 16, will lead the 39th annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on November 14. The event, officially titled CBS Presents Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, marks its first-ever broadcast on CBS in addition to Nickelodeon, airing live from Television City in Los Angeles at 8–9:30 p.m. ET (5–6:30 p.m. PT). It will stream live on Paramount+ for Premium subscribers and be available on-demand the next day for both Premium and Essential tiers in the U.S., with global access following the linear premiere on Nickelodeon via Paramount+. The show is produced by Done + Dusted, with Burger King and Wayfair as official sponsors. Fan voting is now open at kidschoiceawards.com. Musical performances and additional celebrity appearances will be announced later. Warren’s debut album, You’ll Be Alright, went Platinum and entered the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, spawning hits like ‘Eternity,’ ‘Bloodline’ [feat. Jelly Roll], ‘On My Mind’ [feat. ROSÉ], and ‘Burning Down’ [with Joe Jonas], which have collectively driven over 11 billion streams. He has previously performed at the American Music Awards, MTV VMA, Grammy Awards, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This year’s nominations are led by Taylor Swift with six mentions, more than any individual. Followed by Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter, each with five. Blockbuster franchises dominate across film, television, music, gaming, and sports categories. Among the movie nominees are The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Toy Story 5, Wednesday, Wicked: For Good, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, KPop Demon Hunters, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. TV series up for awards include Avatar: The Last Airbender, Stranger Things, Abbott Elementary, Ghosts, Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, One Piece, and XO, Kitty. New categories this year include Watch Party: Kids’ Choice, Favorite On-Screen Duo/Trio, and Favorite Clutch Player of the Year. The full list of nominees spans 36 categories. While no specific performances or guest appearances have been confirmed yet, the energy is already building. And yes, someone will get slimed. Again. But this time, it might just be Alex Warren.
