Alix Earle is putting her breakup on the record, in her own words, on her own show. In the opening episode of her new Netflix series, Earle Meets World, the influencer walks through what actually went wrong between her and NFL wide receiver Braxton Berrios, whose split was first reported in December 2025.

The headline reason, according to comments reported by People: distance and silence. Not the dramatic kind. The slow, grinding kind that happens when two people with demanding careers stop finding time for each other.

"We were both busy in our careers and doing long distance at the time," Alix said. "We weren't talking as much. We were barely communicating."

That's a familiar breakup story. What's less familiar is the second reason she gives. Alix says she was anxious that Braxton might be moving toward marriage, and that she wasn't there yet.

"I'm only 25. I'm not ready for that yet," she said.

It's a blunt thing to say about an ex on a show that's going to be watched by millions, but that seems to be the point of Earle Meets World. It's built around Alix narrating her own life without much of a filter, and the breakup is clearly meant to be one of its anchor storylines rather than a footnote.

And it doesn't end at episode one. A later episode reportedly follows a possible run-in with Braxton during a trip to Aspen, one that appears to have Alix reconsidering her decision to walk away. Offscreen, she has also spoken about an emotional encounter with him back in May, though it's not clear yet how much of that surfaces in the show itself.

So the arc isn't a clean breakup narrative. It's messier than that, closer to how these things actually play out. Fear of commitment on one side, distance on both sides, then doubt creeping back in months later. Whether Alix and Braxton end up back in each other's lives is left open by what's been reported so far. What's certain is that all eight episodes of Earle Meets World are already streaming, and the internet has had the material to pick through since the premiere dropped.

Braxton Berrios hasn't offered his own version of events publicly, at least not in anything reported alongside Alix's comments. Whether he responds, on the show or off it, remains the open question hanging over this story.
