Robert Kelker-Kelly, the actor best known for portraying Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives from 1992 to 1995, died at 62 after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest at his home in St. Peters, Missouri, on October 3. According to a police report obtained by Page Six and corroborated by TMZ and Toofab, the actor had begun experiencing severe chest, neck, and left arm pain during a drive home from the Spirit of St. Louis Airport around 7:30 p.m. That evening. His wife, Allison Kelly, who had picked him up from the airport, asked if he wanted to go to the hospital. He declined, stating he preferred to go home and lie down. Once they arrived, Kelker-Kelly changed into a black T-shirt and grey boxers before getting into bed. The pain did not subside. He then asked Allison to fetch an aspirin from the kitchen. When she returned to the bedroom, she found him unresponsive and not breathing. She immediately called 911 and began performing CPR as emergency crews rushed to the scene. Responding officers confirmed that the actor was lying on his back with his head facing east and feet west when first contacted. The St. Charles County Ambulance District (SCCAD) arrived and initiated advanced life-saving measures, but were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m. Dispatch audio, previously obtained by Page Six, captured the urgency of the call: 'Caller is unable to remove patient from bed,' a responding officer said. The dispatcher responded, 'Units are responding… CPR is in progress.' Kyle Gaines, division chief and public information officer for SCCAD, confirmed that paramedics provided care for an adult male patient in cardiac arrest. Authorities found no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. The St. Charles County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that no further investigation was necessary. Allison Kelly told investigators her husband had no known medical conditions, had not undergone any major surgeries or sustained serious injuries in the past year, and did not smoke cigarettes regularly — though he occasionally smoked cigars, and did not use illicit substances. Kelker-Kelly had taken over the role of Bo Brady from Peter Reckell and also appeared on Another World and General Hospital. After leaving Hollywood, he pursued a career in aviation. He is survived by his daughter, Amelia Rose Kelly, and his wife, Allison Kelly. He was previously married to actress Miriam Parrish from 1997 to 2013. The case has been officially closed as a sudden death. No official cause of death has been released beyond the cardiac arrest. But the sequence. Pain, refusal of care, decline, death, leaves a quiet, sharp question hanging: what happens when someone says no to help? And who decides when it’s too late?
