Nicolas Cage isn’t pulling punches — on stage at Fan Expo Dallas, he called the current MCU a 'glorified WWE,' and it wasn’t just a joke. The Oscar winner, fresh off his turn as Spider-Noir, said the franchise’s storytelling has devolved into little more than spectacle: ‘It’s cutting all to the fight.’ He didn’t mince words.

What started as ‘marvelous’, the weaving of character arcs, the layered backstories. Is now, in his view, a parade of ‘ridiculous outfits’ and choreographed brawls. 'One of the things I liked about Spider-Noir,' he added, 'was it wasn’t cutting to the fight.' It was a detective story. A mystery.
