Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly spent Friday night together in New York, and the internet has already done the math.

The two were photographed getting out of a black SUV outside Taylor Swift's Tribeca apartment. Swift herself wasn't home. TMZ reported she's in Kansas City ahead of Travis Kelce's first home game of the season, which kicked off Monday night. Deuxmoi claimed MGK arrived roughly half an hour after Johnson and was let in by her security, and that the two stayed inside for several hours before heading out together. Page Six adds a stop at Estela, the Nolita restaurant that's basically a celebrity green room at this point.

What happened after dinner is where the accounts converge again. Multiple outlets reported the pair went on to a hotel near the apartment and stayed the night. Nobody involved, not Johnson's camp, not MGK's, not Swift's, has said a word about any of it.

Johnson wore black, sheer tank top, black pants, the kind of low-key downtown outfit that reads as deliberately unbothered. MGK went the other direction entirely, white tank under a jacket with a skeleton print, sunglasses, a hat, looking like he wandered off a tour bus. Whatever this is, it's not a couple dressing for the same event.

The timing is the part doing the heavy lifting here. Johnson's split from Role Model surfaced in August, with a source telling People the two had actually broken up
