Deepika Padukone has officially named her second daughter Devi, revealing the name in a heartfelt post on Dussehra. The actress shared her first family photo with newborn Devi, flanked by husband Ranveer Singh and their elder daughter Dua, who gave the baby a sweet kiss on the forehead. The image, shot in ivory tones, shows Deepika cradling the newborn while Ranveer stands beside them, hair falling over his brow in a moment of quiet joy.
She captioned the post: 'Of Love & Abundance… Devi Padukone Singh.' The couple had previously hinted at the arrival with a collaborative post on September 19, 2026 — the day of Ganpati festival, tagging the moment as 'Welcome Baby Girl! 19/9/2026. Dua, Deepika and Ranveer.' That same day, they visited Siddhivinayak Temple for blessings, mirroring their 2024 visit when they welcomed Dua.
Back then, they’d gone to the temple on September 6, and two days later, Dua was born. This year, Ranveer marked Dua’s second birthday with a monochrome tribute featuring Deepika’s maternity photoshoot, images that captured her glowing pregnancy, her bare bump, and Dua’s curious gaze. In a past interview with Marie Claire, Deepika spoke candidly about the physical toll of her final trimester, describing intense pain across her body despite yoga, and recalling how ‘suddenly you’re discovering body parts because they hurt.’ No further details were shared.
The announcement comes amid growing public interest around Deepika’s private life, searches for 'Deepika Padukone second baby' and 'Deepika Padukone daughter' have spiked. But beyond the names and dates, one thing is clear: the Padukone-Singh household is now a trio, and the world is watching.
