Dhurandhar: The Revenge has officially thrown its hat into the Grammy ring. The film’s soundtrack, composed by Shashwat Sachdev and released under T-Series and B62 Studios, has been submitted across nine categories for the 69th Annual Grammy Awards — a move that marks a rare push for Indian cinema in the global music awards arena. The submission was confirmed by the makers on October 9, with a social media post declaring, 'DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE for your GRAMMY consideration.' No official confirmation from the Recording Academy yet, but the campaign is underway. Arijit Singh’s ‘Phir Se’ leads the charge in Best Song Written for Visual Media. Other entries include ‘Aari Aari’ (featuring Bombay Rockers, Khan Saab, Jasmine Sandlas, Reble, Token, Sudhir Yaduvanshi) in Best Asian Pop Music Performance, and ‘Jaan Se Guzarte Hai’ and ‘Kanhaiyya’ in Best Global Music Performance. ‘Jaiye Sajana’, a duet with Jasmine Sandlas and Satinder Sartaaj, is up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Destiny - Mann Atkeya gets a shot at Best Rap Performance, while ‘Vaari Jaavan’ competes in Best Dance/Electronic Recording. ‘Hum Pyaar Karne Wale’ is entered in Best Remixed Recording. The full soundtrack is also nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. The nominees will be announced on November 16, 2026, with the ceremony set for February 7, 2027, at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. Whether any of these entries make the shortlist remains to be seen, but the ambition is clear. And if it lands even one nomination, it’ll be a first for a Hindi film soundtrack in several of these categories. The Grammys have never before acknowledged a South Asian pop or rap entry in this way. So yes, the stakes are high. But so is the reach. The next step? Wait for the list. Then watch how India responds.
