Divyenndu didn't set up his own Instagram account. Shraddha Kapoor did.

The actor made the reveal on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi's show Double Date, where a question about his name spelling turned into a small history lesson on how his social media presence actually began. It started with numerology. Divyenndu explained why he'd altered how his name is written, saying, "I got to know that there is a science to it. It's science only, which talks about balancing. Yeh aapka naam hai aur yeh balance hona chahiye." He added that he takes the idea seriously enough to act on it: "Aur mujhe sync mein rehna hai energies ke saath. Toh koi cheez agar mujhe energies ke saath sync mein laayegi, toh main uski baat maanunga."

Dhupia, curious whether the rebrand extended to his handles and email IDs, pushed further. That's when things got interesting.

Divyenndu said his Instagram account was actually built by Shraddha Kapoor while the two were shooting Batti Gul Meter Chalu together. "Mera Insta banaya tha Shraddha Kapoor ne jab humne Batti Gul Meter Chalu kari thi," he said, pointing out he'd already done Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Chashme Baddoor by that point but had stayed off the platform entirely until she nudged him on.

His Twitter origin story is even older. Divyenndu credited veteran actor Anupam Kher, from their time on Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami. "Aur mera Twitter Kher sahab, Anupam Kher ji ne banaya tha. Humne film banayi thi Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami. Toh unhone kuch karke mera account banaya tha," he said, framing it as one of those on-set moments where a co-star just decides for you.

What the conversation didn't quite resolve is whether Divyenndu has since gone back and matched his social handles to the newly spelled name he now swears by. Dhupia's original question hung there, half-answered, buried under two good stories about how Shraddha Kapoor and Anupam Kher basically dragged him onto the internet against his own timeline.

It's a minor footnote in a career that's had a fairly busy stretch lately, between Mirzapur: The Movie and the response it pulled from fans, which Divyenndu and Pankaj Tripathi had separately thanked audiences for. Whether the actor eventually renames those Kapoor- and Kher-built accounts to match his energies, as he puts it, is the one loose thread from Double Date nobody's tied up yet.
