Fahadh Faasil’s Don’t Trouble The Trouble is finally making its way to streaming — not as a redemption arc, but as a quiet fade into the algorithm. The emotional drama, which premiered in theatres on October 2 and failed to register at the box office, will debut on Netflix on October 30 in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.

It’s a release with no fanfare, no second chance at theatrical glory. Just another title added to the platform’s growing regional library. The film was produced by the team behind Baahubali, including SS Karthikeya, Prasad, and Shobu, names that once carried weight in the industry. Now, they’re attached to a project that didn’t find an audience in cinemas.

That’s the reality of the current market: even high-profile production backing can’t guarantee traction. On the same day, Sundeep Kishan stars in Sigma, a Tamil action thriller marking the directorial debut of Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. The film also underperformed theatrically and now heads straight to OTT.

It arrives on Netflix on October 30 with multiple language options, including Telugu. A day earlier, on October 29, Vijay Sethupathi takes on the role of Baththavachalam, a feared gangster in 1980s Madras, in Baththa, a comedy drama that received positive reviews but didn’t translate into strong box office numbers.

The film will be available in Telugu as well. And then there’s Akka, Keerthy Suresh’s first foray into playing a gangster in a period crime thriller set in the fictional South Indian town of Pernuru during the 1980s. Produced by YRF, it features Radhika Apte in a key role, portraying Rudra, one half of a matriarchal underworld ruled by a sisterhood of powerful queens.

The story follows the escalating rivalry between Bhavani (Keerthy Suresh) and Rudra (Radhika Apte), a conflict that threatens to tear their empire apart. Akka also premieres on Netflix on October 30. All four titles, Don’t Trouble The Trouble, Sigma, Baththa, and Akka, arrive on Netflix within a span of two days.

No grand launch. No press events. Just the steady drip of content into a saturated market. For audiences, it’s a week of regional releases.

For the films, it’s a last stop before fading into silence.
