The Agnipareeksha entrant lost the week 5 nomination battle to Gautam G Sasi, leaving the house with a parting line about his real fight starting now.
Eldho George is out of the Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 house. The commoner contestant, who made it into the main season through the Agnipareeksha selection round, lost the week 5 elimination battle on Sunday, with Gautam G Sasi surviving what turned into a two-man face-off for the final safe slot.
The nomination list this week was long. Besides Eldho and Gautam, it included Aiswarya Madhu, Tashi Raj, Vignesh Venu, Muhammad Asif, Rahul Easwar, Shijin S and Sreeraj K S, better known on the show as Kadal Komban. Host Mohanlal ran the reveal the way the show usually does it, with nominated contestants checking cards bearing their names and the safe ones reading the verdict out loud one by one.
By the time the dust settled, it was down to Eldho and Gautam. Eldho, by most accounts, looked fairly composed while he waited. It didn't matter. Gautam's card came up safe, and that was that.
A quiet exit, a pointed line
Mohanlal used the moment to ask the remaining housemates to name one positive quality they associated with Eldho before he left, a small ritual the show often leans on to soften an exit. Eldho himself didn't go quietly in spirit, even if he went quietly from the house. He told the camera that his real Bigg Boss journey was only beginning, and that it would play out outside the house now.
Eldho's run inside lasted five weeks. He'd entered alongside Rakesh Jacob, Loletta Loryne Rodrigues and Shijin S, the four commoners who made the cut through Agnipareeksha, the pre-season sorting round the franchise introduced this year to pick participants for the main competition.
A house still reshuffling
This elimination comes right after a chaotic week that saw a mass eviction clear out several housemates in one go, followed by four wildcard entries refreshing the lineup. One of those wildcards didn't last long, choosing to quit soon after walking in. Between the mass exit, the wildcard churn and now Eldho's eviction, the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 house has barely had a stable week since the midpoint of the season began.
With Gautam safe and Eldho gone, the remaining contestants, Aiswarya Madhu, Tashi Raj, Vignesh Venu, Muhammad Asif, Rahul Easwar, Shijin S and Sreeraj K S among them, head into week six still jostling for position. Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 premiered on Asianet on September 6 and streams on JioHotstar, with Mohanlal back for his eighth straight season at the helm. The show isn't slowing down, and neither, by the sound of it, is the drama around who's safe and who isn't.
