Gauri Khan's Birthday: The Story Behind Shah Rukh Khan's Costume for Baazigar Made By Her Wife

Gauri Khan, a prominent interior designer and film producer, was born as Gauri Chhibber. Often called the "queen of Mannat," Gauri is the spouse of Mr. Shah Rukh Khan, the King of Romance in Bollywood. Her spouse Shah Rukh's films, including Chennai Express, Om Shanti Om, Main Hoon Na, and others, are produced by her. Gauri Khan, SRK's wife, created his Baazigar song costume. In 2019, Gauri Khan disclosed that she was the inspiration behind Shah Rukh Khan's appearance in the well-known Baazigar song Ye Kaali Kaali Aankhen. Gauri posted two images to Instagram that showed SRK dressed as her from the Baazigar sets. Shah Rukh was wearing hand-painted pants, a red shirt, and a legwarmer tee.

Gauri Khan Claims Designing "Disaster"  Costumes For Husband, SRK

Gauri Khan was open about creating Shah Rukh Khan's movie costumes in a previous interview with Zoom. Gauri described her work as a "disaster" and disclosed that she created his looks for six different films.

Regarding Ye Kaali Kaali Aankhen, the designer said that Shah Rukh's appearance in the song captivated her. Gauri reflected that it was "great fun" and recalled that she was in her 20s at the time. She said that, before Karan Johar entered their lives, she had enjoyed creating his wardrobe.

Gauri Khan recalled Karan's response, saying he questioned her ability to create for her husband, Shah Rukh. Gauri went on to say that she knew it wasn't her "best" attire. Gauri continued by saying that at the time, she gave Karan control of the designing department for SRK's upcoming projects.

Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's Relationship Timeline

On October 25, 1991, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan got married. The two were college sweethearts, and despite several complications, the two ended up together, and are considered a power couple in the Bollywood industry. AbRam, Aryan Khan, and Suhana Khan are the couple's three children. Suhana was born in 2000, and Aryan was born in 1997. 2013 saw the surrogate birth of AbRam by Shah Rukh and Gauri.

In 2002, they joined together to form Red Chillies Entertainment.
