According to the Free Press Journal, which carried the agency report, police have taken note of the video and started working off the car's number plate to identify its registered owner and, from there, whoever was actually driving.
A senior officer quoted in the report put it plainly: authorities are trying to establish who owned the vehicle and who was at the wheel that day, and action will follow against anyone found breaking traffic rules by pulling stunts on public roads. No name has been released yet. No FIR details have surfaced either, at least not in what's been reported so far.
What's driving the outrage isn't really the drift itself. Gurugram's seen plenty of flashy cars and worse driving. It's the setting.
