Five weeks in, and Hanuman Ansh is still refusing to slow down the way theatrical runs are supposed to by now.

The Hindi devotional drama pulled in 10.25 crore on day 34, its fifth Wednesday in theatres. That's only a 4.65% dip from the 10.75 crore it made a day earlier, according to figures reported by Koimoi. For a film in its fifth week, that kind of hold is unusual. Most Bollywood releases are bleeding 15-20% by this stage, if they're still running at all.

That Wednesday number did more than pad the tally. It beat Dhurandhar's 4.75 crore to become Bollywood's biggest fifth Wednesday on record, and by some distance, per Koimoi's report.

The cumulative total now stands at 153.13 crore net in India, which works out to 180.73 crore gross. That's enough to push Hanuman Ansh past the Hindi-dubbed version of Yash's Toxic, which had settled at 143.63 crore. The film is now the sixth highest-grossing Hindi release of 2026 at the domestic box office.

Fifth spot is next, and it's close. Awarapan 2 sits at 156.02 crore, a gap of under 3 crore. Given the day-on-day pace, Koimoi's report suggests Hanuman Ansh should clear that number on day 35 without much trouble.

What happens after that is where the numbers get interesting. Trade estimates cited in the same report peg an easy run into the 200 crore net club, with 250 crore now being floated as realistic if this hold continues into a sixth week. That's a big claim for a film that, by most accounts, opened on the quieter side. The gap between where it started and where it's headed is the actual story here, more than any single day's number.

No studio or distributor has put out an official statement on the film's trajectory beyond what's showing up in the daily collection reports, so treat the 250 crore projection as trade chatter for now, not a locked-in target.

The test comes over the weekend. Fifth Fridays and Saturdays tend to expose whether a hold is real momentum or just a stretched-out death rattle before the multiplexes pull screens for the next big release. If Hanuman Ansh adds another crore-plus day heading into the weekend, the 200 crore conversation stops being speculative. If it doesn't, day 35's numbers will look like the peak, not a checkpoint.
