Hanuman Ansh, the Hindi biopic that defied expectations with a ₹400 crore gross against a mere ₹2 crore budget, is finally arriving in Telugu theatres on October 9, 2026. The release, long delayed and initially linked to Trivikram’s banner, has now been secured under Hombale Films — the production house behind KGF, Kantara, and Salaar, which will handle the worldwide distribution of the dubbed version. This marks the film’s first regional rollout, a significant step for a project that began as a low-budget venture but quickly became a cultural talking point. The Hindi version’s run was remarkable: it not only held its ground during the second week despite competition from Yash’s Toxic but continued to grow, drawing audiences who were drawn by word-of-mouth and online chatter. Now, Hombale’s involvement adds weight to the Telugu launch. Their track record with regional releases. Particularly the 15-day gap between Kannada and Telugu versions of Kantara, which still saw strong turnout, suggests confidence in the film’s cross-language appeal. The timing is strategic: October 9 falls just before Dasara, a peak period for theatrical attendance in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film will face Aadarsha Kutumbam, a family thriller directed by Venkatesh, but sources suggest the two films cater to different sensibilities. Hanuman Ansh, based on the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba and written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, stars Shobhinaw Satyaa in the lead role, alongside Vihaan S Hegde, Chandan K Anand, Purnima Tiwari, Anil Rastogi, and Gulshan Pandey. It is produced by Ragini S, Namrata G Singh, Anupriya A Nagar, and Vishal Chaturvedi under SWAMbhu Media Network. The earlier plan involving Trivikram did not materialise, leaving Hombale to step in after already handling the film’s international distribution. With the Hindi version’s success already cemented, the Telugu release isn’t just about numbers. It’s about proving whether a spiritual narrative rooted in Indian tradition can command attention beyond the Hindi belt. The answer may come faster than expected.
