The K-pop giant will hold its flagship fan festival in India for the first time on March 27 and 28, 2027, with BookMyShow Live co-producing and tickets sold exclusively through the platform.
HYBE just picked India for a first. The company behind BTS and the Weverse fan platform announced on Wednesday that its flagship Weverse Con Festival will land in New Delhi on March 27 and 28, 2027, the first time the event has ever happened outside Korea.
That's the headline number. Everything else is HYBE explaining why it picked India, and India picking up the tab on logistics.
BookMyShow Live, the live entertainment arm of BookMyShow, is co-producing and promoting the two-day event. Tickets will be sold exclusively on the platform, which has already spent the last few years turning K-pop concerts into a reliable category for Indian ticket sales. Mastercard is the banking partner and will give its cardholders early access to the pre-sale. Kia India, Project B and Samsung are presenting sponsors, with Korean instant-noodle brand NONGSHIM signed on as an associate partner.
On the lineup side, HYBE is promising a mix of Indian and K-pop artists sharing stages, plus what it's calling "special collaboration stages" built to put different music scenes next to each other rather than keep them in separate slots. No names yet. That's standard for an announcement this far out, eighteen months before doors open, but it's also the detail everyone actually wants.
HYBE CEO Jason Jaesang Lee framed the India edition as part of the company's "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy, language HYBE has used before to describe spreading its businesses across markets instead of running everything out of Seoul. "We aim to create a festival that expands our ecosystem through experiences that resonate with local audiences," he said in the company's statement.
Weverse Company president Zooil Yang called India "one of the world's most vibrant K-pop fan communities" and said the goal is to take what the app already does online, connecting artists and fans, and run a version of it live. Fair point. India's K-pop fandom has been loud on Weverse and on streaming for years without getting much in the way of a big domestic event built around it.
The festival isn't HYBE's only India play right now. HYBE INDIA, the company's local strategic office, has been running talent auditions across the country, with an eye on developing homegrown artists and building content with what the company describes as global potential. It's also the office behind the recent tie-up with Rashmika Mandanna to scout young female talent, so a 2027 festival slots into a broader bet rather than a one-off stunt.
What's missing right now is the lineup, and that's the thing that will decide whether March 2027 feels like an event or just an announcement with good sponsors attached. HYBE hasn't said when artist names drop. Ticket pricing and venue details haven't been confirmed either. For a festival built on fan connection, the fans are going to want specifics long before next March.
