Salman Khan’s latest comment on Bigg Boss 20 has drawn a formal objection from former contestant Imam Siddique, who says the reference to his time on Bigg Boss 6 was not only inaccurate but damaging. During Saturday’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode, while addressing Qazi Touqeer’s conduct toward Kanika Mann, Salman used Imam’s stint as a cautionary example — suggesting that Imam had also made up his mind to trouble others in the house. The remark landed with force, prompting Imam to share a clip of the moment on social media and follow it with an open letter to the host. He called the portrayal “extremely defamatory and factually incorrect.”  He denied ever intending to harass fellow contestants during his season, stressing that his journey on Bigg Boss 6 was rooted in entertainment, tasks, and performance. “I have never harassed any contestant with the intent to trouble them,” he wrote.  He emphasized that he completed his run with dignity and objected to being invoked as a negative example without the chance to respond.  The reference, he said, could harm his professional reputation and had already affected his family’s honour.  With a career spanning 44 years across advertising, broadcasting, corporate work, design, education, events, and fashion, he underscored the weight of being misrepresented in such a public forum.  He requested that Salman and the Bigg Boss team issue a clarification and correction on air, and asked that his name not be used again in what he considers a defamatory context.  Despite the seriousness of the complaint, Imam maintained a respectful tone. He referred to Salman as an “elder brother of the industry” and expressed continued respect. “I hope you will address this with the same fairness you show inside the house,” he concluded.  Imam’s time on Bigg Boss 6 is remembered for his unconventional personality and frequent clashes with housemates. His interactions with Salman became iconic, particularly the now-famous line: “Salman Bhai, time out.” That moment, once a highlight of the season, is now at the heart of a new controversy. No official response has come from Salman or the production team as of Thursday morning. The silence leaves the situation unresolved. Fans are split, some see the reference as contextually relevant. Others view it as careless, even harmful. How the show handles this request, if at all, will determine whether this remains a minor footnote or a turning point in how past contestants are referenced on live television.
