Mark Indelicato married David Watson over the weekend, with Jean Smart officiating the ceremony — and yes, she did it in full Hacks mode. The wedding, held just months after the HBO Max comedy’s fifth and final season wrapped, brought the cast back together for a reunion that felt less like a celebration and more like a scripted scene from the show itself.

Smart, who played Deborah Vance across five seasons, stepped up to the mic as the couple exchanged vows, delivering the traditional questions with a deadpan delivery that had the crowd laughing before Mark even said ‘yes.’ ‘Do you, Mark Anthony Indelicato, take David Joel Watson to be your lawfully wedded husband…?’ she asked, pausing for effect. His reply? A casual, unbothered ‘Duh.’

The moment was captured in a video shared by Johnny Sibilly on Instagram, showing Smart standing between the two grooms, reading from a piece of paper while the sun set behind them. Paul W. Downs posted a group photo with the caption: ‘Congratulations @markindelicato & David. Hacks fam 4 eva.’ The image included Hannah Einbinder, Megan Stalter, Poppy Liu, and co-creator Lucia Aniello, all still in the same dynamic they’d perfected over years of sharp-tongued banter and awkward silences.

Indelicato, known for his roles in Hacks and Ugly Betty, played Damien, Vance’s perpetually flustered assistant, throughout the series. Watson, his real-life partner, has stayed out of the spotlight. But now, officially, he’s part of the Hacks universe.

No official date was given for the wedding beyond ‘over the weekend,’ and no details were shared about the location or guest list beyond the core cast. But the fact that Smart chose to officiate, and did so with the same mix of irony and sincerity that defined her character. Suggests this wasn’t just a personal milestone. It was a farewell. A final bow. A last joke.

Now that the show is done, the cast is scattered. But for one day, they were back. And Jean Smart, in a white dress and a script, made sure everyone remembered how it felt to be part of something sharp, messy, and real.
