Jennifer Lawrence has put the speculation to rest. On Wednesday's episode of Call Her Daddy, the Oscar winner confirmed she's reprising Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, the prequel hitting theatres November 20.

She wasn't alone in coming back. Lawrence told host Alex Cooper that Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson, who played Peeta Mellark and Haymitch Abernathy across the original run, returned alongside her, and so did most of the crew.

"It was so crazy because it was the same crew," she said, according to Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter. "It was the same camera guys, the same AD, who I've worked with a million times." Of reuniting with Hutcherson specifically, she said, "Josh and I didn't walk to the bathroom without our arms around each other. It was so beautiful."

Woody skips the door

Harrelson, playing a younger version of his Mockingjay character this time, apparently announced himself the way he always does. "Woody obviously came through the window of my hotel room uninvited," Lawrence said, "cause it wouldn't be the same if he listened to boundaries and used a door."

Lawrence, now 36, first played Katniss in 2012 and carried the role through Catching Fire and both Mockingjay films, the last one arriving in 2015. That's eleven years between franchise appearances, which probably explains the emotion. She also used the podcast to revisit an old grudge, recalling that she chopped her hair into the now-famous pixie cut back in 2013 as a protest after producers wouldn't give her a wig to avoid repeatedly dyeing it brown.

Funnily enough, Lawrence's confirmation landed on the exact day Sunrise on the Reaping held its London premiere, an event she did not attend, per Page Six. The red carpet still had plenty going on without her. Glenn Close, who plays Drusilla Sickle, arrived in a green silk gown. Mckenna Grace, taking on the twin roles of Maysilee and Merrilee Donner, wore a Van Gogh-inflected dress, while Elle Fanning's Effie Trinket got a sculptural pink number with a tulle skirt and headpiece. Kieran Culkin, Jesse Plemons, Joseph Zada and Ralph Fiennes rounded out the lineup.

Sunrise on the Reaping is set 24 years before the original Hunger Games and centres on a 16-year-old Haymitch, played by Zada, surviving the 50th Games, the brutal Second Quarter Quell with double the usual tributes. Fiennes returns as President Snow. Lawrence and Hutcherson's roles are expected to show up through flashforwards or some kind of framing device rather than a full arc, though neither Deadline nor The Hollywood Reporter has nailed down exactly how much screen time that means.

What's confirmed is the date. November 20. Whether Lawrence turns up at a premiere before then is still an open question.
