Six new faces, one poster, and a release date that's now just five weeks out. Luv Films dropped the first look of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar on Wednesday, and it's built entirely around actors nobody's seen on the big screen before.

Alisha Chopra, Sparsh Walia, Sakshi Vaidya, Kunal Vaid, Sargun Kaur Luthra and Tushar Chhibber are the six making their acting debuts in the film, all of them crammed into one colourful frame in the poster, striking the sort of loose, playful poses that studios reach for when they want a cast to read as young and unburdened. It's the introduction, not the trailer, so don't expect plot details yet. What you get is faces and a date.

That date is October 23, 2026, worldwide, in cinemas.

The film marks a directorial debut too. Anuj Saini is behind the camera on a script Luv Ranjan has written, with Ranjan and Ankur Garg producing under the Luv Films banner. Ranjan's own history with first-timers goes back to Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which he's pointed to himself as the template for what he's chasing here.

"Introducing newcomers is always a challenge, but it's the one I genuinely look forward to," Ranjan said. "Fifteen years ago, I got that opportunity with Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and when something similar came along with Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, I knew I didn't want to let it pass. As a writer, creating a world for six new faces and watching them find their own rhythm within it was something I really enjoyed. When the people feel right, the story finds its own energy, and I'm excited for audiences to meet them."

That's a fairly specific bet to make in public. Pyaar Ka Punchnama worked because Ranjan's writing carried actors who hadn't proven themselves yet, and he's saying he's trying the same trick twice, at scale, with six unknowns instead of a handful. Whether the chemistry holds across a full ensemble is the real question the poster can't answer.

What it does answer is timing. October 23 puts Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar into a festive-season stretch that's already getting crowded, and a friendship-comedy with zero star power leaning entirely on writing and casting instinct is a genuine swing in that kind of release window.

A trailer's the obvious next move, and it'll tell us a lot more than a poster ever could. Until then, six names go from unknown to watch-list, and Ranjan's reputation as a talent-spotter is on the line all over again.
